Honest numbers, before anyone gets on a call

These ranges are planning anchors, not quotes. Final investment reflects site access, project area, plant density, soil and water work, removals, deer protection, hardscape, irrigation, specialist coordination, and phasing.

How projects begin

The Property Discovery

Qualified projects begin with a Property Discovery — a structured, on-site professional walkthrough of your land.

  • Goals and property-use conversation
  • Structured site walkthrough with photo documentation
  • Soil, water, sunlight, access, deer, and invasive review
  • Priority zones and constraints identified
  • Preliminary package recommendation and likely phase order
  • Findings delivered through your own private review site

The Discovery is a professional diagnostic, not a sales visit — you keep the findings either way.

What changes the number

Factors that shape investment

  • Site access and terrain
  • Total project area and plant density
  • Soil condition and the depth of soil-building work required
  • Water management — drainage, rain gardens, harvesting systems
  • Removals: invasives, turf, failing plantings
  • Deer pressure and protection requirements
  • Hardscape, irrigation, and infrastructure components
  • Specialist coordination (tree work, drainage, construction)
  • Phasing — spreading the build across seasons
Questions

Investment FAQ

Why do you publish price ranges?

Because it respects your time and ours. The ranges tell you honestly what professional ecological design/build work involves before anyone gets on a call. Most firms hide this; we’d rather you know from the start.

Are these ranges quotes?

No — they are planning anchors. Every property is different, and final investment reflects the real conditions of your site and the scope you approve. You’ll always see a human-reviewed proposal with clear inclusions before anything is scheduled.

What is the Property Discovery?

The first professional step for qualified projects: a structured on-site walkthrough where we read your soil, water, sunlight, and habitat conditions, then deliver zone-organized findings and recommendations through a private review site. It’s how every successful project starts.

Can a big vision be built in phases?

Yes — and usually it should be. Living systems benefit from establishing in stages. We design master plans that can be implemented over seasons or years, with each phase standing on its own.

What about deer?

Deer pressure is a design input in Connecticut, not an afterthought. Plant community selection and protection strategy are built into every proposal.

Do you handle difficult sites — wet yards, slopes, shade?

Difficult sites are often our favorite work — rain gardens for wet spots, terracing for slopes, woodland gardens for shade. Complex conditions get flagged for a closer look during the fit call, and where another licensed professional is needed, we say so and coordinate.

What happens after installation?

Establishment support is included in every project, and ongoing stewardship is available so your landscape is monitored, adapted, and improved as it matures.

The Project Fit Form takes three minutes. If your project is a match, the next step is a 15-minute call — not a sales pitch.
